Couple of weeks back while I was working at home early in the morning (at around 5:30) I heard a huge bang outside. Well, more like tyre skid sounds, a small bang, shatterd glass sounds and finally the big bang. Ran outside and I was greeted with this: 
Two occupants, one male and female. The guy had some cuts and bruses, but was OK. He managed to stand up and walk around. The girl was very shaken and probably had some broken bones. I just helped the other guy pull her out and calm her down until the ambulance arrived. Makes me wonder how he managed to have an accident like that! Speeding comes to mind. This is first of the 20 albums that I got from BD last month has been uploaded. It contains one of the latest single of Habib, Bhalobashbo Re Bondhu. Love that song, however rest of the songs in that album (by other artists) are pretty ordinary. The World Cup is over, fever is off... Had a pretty good run of watching the matches. Grew up watching the wonders of Maradona, only to become a die hard Argentina fan. This world cup was no different, but I had another team to back for, Australia (Socceroos). The first match against Japan was a sweet treat. For me it was the most exciting match. 3 goals in 8 minutes to snatch the game away from the Japs after that dubious goal was awesome! You can download the last 8 minutes of that match from here (174 MB). As for Argetina's loss to Germany, those idiots deserved it. Very dissapointed. They were the classic example of how a team with 11 fantastic players can lose a game because of sheer stupidity. Worst bit of the WC: Italy winning with last minute penalty against Australia. I am a Yahoo! boy. That means, all my pc-2-pc voice calls and text chat are done using Yahoo! Messenger. Yes, I did hear about Skype since it was first launched around 3-4 years back. But never got into it as Yahoo! pretty much met all my needs and I had my friends already in Yahoo! MSN junkies are not my real friends, they are dumb fools I see once in a while to amuse myself. Saves me going to the zoo :)
Then came GTalk - Google's talk child and it's very impressive. Still I was loyal to Yahoo! But recently the Skype Out feature (yes I know it has been for a while) has introduced the new call rates and they are cheap. Specially for me, calling to Bangladesh has become very cheap. For AU$0.09/min, it is just great. Yes, probably calling cards are cheaper, but I can't be stuffed going to an ethnic spice store to get the best value for money card. Plus, the local call charges, line dropouts etc. kinda puts me off. Called home today for the first test drive and it went flawless. Anoher charm is call rates to Aussie Mobiles. At AU$0.30/min, that is cheaper than any carriers standard rate. Depending on my contact base in Skype, I may soon ditch Yahoo!
